As a French tech leader and global successful company, our Corporate teams are constantly looking for ways to innovate and increase organization efficiency to keep Voodoo ahead of the market. Voodoo’s Corporate function is composed of five teams: HR, Talent acquisition, Legal, M&A and Finance, working together to drive Voodoo’s success.

Role
- What will be your main challenges?
- As Legal Counsel in the Commercial/IP team, your role entails acting as a business partner with/for the operation teams to fulfill their business and legal needs by handling contractual matters, and to bolster the company’s asset-protection strategy, notably through IP litigation, registration, PR and lobbying.
- Main challenges:
- Handle IP protection and infringement matters, such as trademark registrations, takedown of copies, pre-litigation and litigation in France and abroad, and more generally contribute in a meaningful way to the company’s strategy to better protect its games and apps despite the uncertain legal landscape.
- Draft, negotiate and/or review a variety of commercial agreements for the publishing, marketing, and gaming teams, including publishing agreements, user acquisition and monetization agreements, service agreements, and partnership deals.
- Impact: You will be a key member of the legal team working hand in hand with the operational teams in a very integrated manner. You will be the privileged point of contact for any commercial need.
Profile
- Three to six years of relevant professional experience.
- Prior experience in an IP/IT or TMT department of a law firm is highly preferable.
- Good knowledge of IP law (copyright, trademarks, designs)Fluency in English and French required.
- Personality is key: Creative, audacious, fun, good sense of humor, positive energy, with a strong team spirit
- Constant search for excellence in the work that you do
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
- Nice to have:
- Fluency or proficiency in another language where Voodoo’s business is present (Russian, Turkish, Chinese…)
- Prior experience in gaming or tech (ad tech, entertainment, social media) (either in your matters as a lawyer or in house)
- Experience in both France and another jurisdiction (notably a common law country) will be highly considered
