You will...
- Design electrical schematics integrating SoCs/MCUs, memory components (eMMC, DDR, NVMe), and peripherals for automotive applications from concept to production.
- Guide and oversee PCB Layout that meets DFx standards while adhering to performance, cost, mechanical, thermal and reliability constraints. 
- Detail component block diagrams and engage with PCB/PCBA vendors for fab and assembly.
- Collaborate with system, architecture, power, and embedded teams for successful bring-up and validation of the platform.
- Work closely with the system and architecture team to evaluate components for future compute and module base requirements.
- Develop and execute test plans to validate design performance and document results.
- Stay up to date on new technologies, ensuring our solutions remain cutting-edge and in line with industry best practices.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of demonstrated hands-on experience in hardware design with solid understanding of digital design and interfaces such as - PCIe Gen 3.0/4.0/5.0, Ethernet 1G-T/T1 and 10G-T1, DDR, LPDDR, I2C, SPI, eMMC, USB, UART, and GMSL.
- Hands on experience with schematic capture and layout.
- Proficient experience with lab tools such as bench power supplies, multimeter, oscilloscope, logic and network analyzer.
- Comprehensive knowledge of PCB manufacturing, end product delivery, and a proven track record in rigorous testing, validation, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
- Open-minded and collaborative team player with the willingness to help others.
- Excellent technical writing skills for effective communication and documentation.
- Passionate about self-driving technologies, solving hard problems, and creating innovative solutions.

Bonus / nice to have:
- Strong scripting skills using Python and familiarity with embedded board bring-up.
- Strong understanding of functional safety and designs that meet ASIL-B/D standards.
- Demonstrated experience working with modems/telematics and GNSS.

The US yearly salary range for this role is: $161,155 - $260,000 USD in addition to competitive perks & benefits. Waabi (US) Inc.’s yearly salary ranges are determined based on several factors in accordance with the Company’s compensation practices. The salary base range is reflective of the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.  Note: The Company provides additional compensation for employees in this role, including equity incentive awards and an annual performance bonus.
