Wachter is currently accepting applications to hire several Full-Stack Software Developers based in our Lenexa, KS office. These positions consist of a wide variety of responsibilities including discovery/investigation of business rules and code, app design starting with the interaction between you and the UI/UX team, new feature code development using best coding practices and tools, streamlining the implementation of your code to all environments, and ongoing maintenance including bug fixes or enhancements to several different custom software solutions. The Software Developer’s daily tasks will vary in scope from participating in small projects with quick implementation timelines to complex projects that span months and consist of many sprint iterations. You will have a chance to work with many different technologies on a variety of mission-critical applications.

Qualifications:

    • Must have a minimum of 3-5 years experience in full-stack web development: UI front-end, back-end, and database.
    • Solid experience with ASP.NET, Web Forms / Apps, Web API (REST), Angular, MS SQL, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, debugging, etc. (migrating away from web forms)
    • Excellent C# skills.
    • A great attitude and aptitude for learning and problem-solving.
    • Attention to detail in the code being delivered.
    • Proven track record of completing assigned projects from previous real-world work experience (not educational or degree achievement projects).
    • Well-developed communication skills and ability to converse with technical and non-technical staff in any department.
    • Penchant for software development and coding design principles and ability to educate other teammates not as familiar with your mastered skills.
    • Experience developing n-tier suites of full-featured software applications.
    • Knowledgeable in using Microsoft tools and technologies: .NET Framework, IIS, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, SSMS, TFS (TFVC).
    • Experience working with Angular (front end) and APIs to create more modular solutions.
    • Experience and willingness to push new architectures and development processes towards modern industry standards using the latest SDLC tools and technologies.
    • Agile Sprint or Kanban based project methodology experience.

Key Responsiblities:

    • Attend daily Scrum stand-ups and participate in other Agile ceremonies such as iteration planning, backlog grooming and root cause analysis or retrospectives.
    • Engage regularly with the Business Analysis team to help determine application requirements and achieve desired functionality via code.
    • Work with UI/UX team to design easy, user-friendly applications within the capabilities of current tools and technology sets in use.
    • Strive to meet and achieve the defined project goals and timelines while handling several different priorities.
    • Perform application development duties giving priority to quality workmanship and push AppDev best practices into all code changes.
    • Prepare technical documentation when needed, conduct and participate in code reviews of self and peers to ensure code commits meet all internal standards and follow industry coding standards.
    • Maintain the company's high standard of quality and professionalism with regard to workmanship, customer relations, coworkers, behavior, punctuality, and appearance.
    • Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your supervisor many assign.
