Wachter is accepting applications for Traveling Electricians for service work for our clients in various commercial and industrial environments across the United States. Candidates should have experience as an industrial and commercial electrician, and love to travel.

    • $125 Per-Diem paid per day when overnight travel is required 
    • Drive time and mileage paid for use of a personal vehicle when travel is required. 
    • Company vehicles are provided upon hire for electricians, lead project foreman, and lead journeymen. 
    • Pay Rate $21 - $26 possibly more based on experience and licensing.

Requirements:

    • Licensed Electrician preferred. 
    • Experience as a Lead or Forman electrician.   
    • Experience as a Commercial and/or Industrial Electrician. 
    • Available for extensive travel. Projects may vary from a few weeks up to a year. 
    • Road warrior, 100% road travel from location to location across the United States. 
    • Wachter covers the cost of travel to and from job deployment. Any travel between job deployment is the employee's responsibility. 
    • Flexible and willing to work on-call, day, night, or weekend shifts as the job requires. 
    • Available to work overtime as needed. 
    • Dependable – must show up to work on time daily. 
    • Must have reliable transportation with insurance. 
    • Safety conscious, follow all applicable PPE guidelines. 
    • Have basic hand tools and PPE. 
    • Self-motivated, career-minded, looking for a place with advancement opportunities. 
    • Outstanding troubleshooting skills. 
    • Excellent customer relationship and communication skills; verbal and written. 
    • Strong attention to detail. 
    • Certified to operate a BOOM or scissor lift, and ability to work at heights. 
    • Able to pass drug and background screening. 
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; no DUI or DWI in the last three years. 

Responsibilities:

    • Inspect and test electrical components to diagnose problems, repair broken electrical components, and install updates for outdated electrical systems. 
    • Troubleshoot electrical problems and install new wiring or other components to fix lighting, fuse boxes, and generators. 
    • Conduct tests to ensure all newly installed electrical systems and component devices are operational. 
    • Ensure electrical systems meet local, county, state, or federal codes; legal and/or insurance requirements. 
    • Adhere to all required project safety requirements as set forth by Wachter, our customers, or OSHA. 
    • Perform any other duties not specifically statedherein, but which your supervisor may assign. 
$21 - $26 an hour
