Wachter is currently accepting applications for a UX / UI Designer in our Lenexa, KS office.
As a UX / UI Designer at Wachter, you are responsible for designing user interfaces that are visually appealing, easy to use, and empower our users (Wachter’s employees and customers) to efficiently do their jobs. Most of your attention will be focused on TRUST, our internal project, and customer relationship management application. You will focus on creating a seamless and enjoyable user experience by understanding user and business needs and crafting user-centered design solutions. This crucial role will focus on maintaining and improving the current iteration of Wachter's digital products and reimagining their futures.

Qualifications:

    • Degree, certification, or comparable experience in UX / UI design.
    • Strong portfolio displaying a range of design projects and your ability to solve user-centered design problems.
    • Proficiency in design software such as Figma or similar tools.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Attention to detail, willingness to learn, and a passion for solving problems and creating exceptional user experiences.

Optional Skills:

    • Understanding of front-end development technologies and their impact on design.
    • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
    • Experience in mobile app design.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct user research to intimately understand the target audience, their needs, behaviors, and pain points.
    • Synthesize and leverage data to inform design decisions.
    • Design visually appealing guidelines.
    • Create responsive designs that work well on various screen sizes and devices.
    • Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to evaluate the effectiveness of designs.
    • Iterate and make improvements based on user feedback and testing results.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams; including business analysts, developers, software testers, and stakeholders to ensure business needs, technical guidelines, and design goals are achieved.
    • Collaborate on design reviews and incorporate feedback from team members.
    • Regularly improve skills and share knowledge with the team.
$65,000 - $80,000 a year
Based on experience and qualifications.
