Wachter is accepting applications for a Physical Security / Alarm Structured Cabling Estimator. The ideal candidate has previous experience as a Security/Alarm Structured Cabling technician and/or Estimator with an interest in office work.

Requirements:
- Ability to function effectively as a member of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of attention to detail required
- Proficient with using smartphones and computers, including email, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office programs.
- Excel Skills are a plus
- 8+ years experience required installing structured cabling for physical security or Alarm field installation environments
- 3+ Years estimating experience
- NICET II or higher is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints and RFP's
- OCIP/CCIP knowledge
- Troubleshooting of PhySec/Alarm cabling and systems
- Ability to help engineers create the solution that the customer needs
- Knowledge and application of BICSI standards.
- Experience with the application of NEC/OSHA codes
- Familiarity of relevant industry standards and best practices including BICSI, IEEE and TIA/EIA
- Experience with Verkada Physical Security solutions is a plus
- Collaborator, meticulous, and self-motivated.
- A keen sense of commitment and a desire to work in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare estimates for commercial security/alarm structured cabling projects
- Evaluation of bid documents.
- Perform accurate takeoffs.
- Prepare Bid Sheets and questions.
- Write professional proposals.
- Interact with project managers to gather relevant information in order to provide firm bids for prospective jobs.
- Maintain current, accurate information on prices from suppliers and contractors through direct contact and written materials, sales brochures, price lists, etc.
- Maintain the company’s high standard of quality and professionalism with regard to workmanship, customer relations, coworkers, behavior, and appearance.
- Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your supervisor may assign.
$22 - $35 an hour
