Wachter is accepting applications for a full-time Support Specialist for our Critical Power department in our Lowell office. Candidates with a background in construction or electrical field experience are encouraged to apply.  This position provides administrative and operational support to both Field Technicians and Project Managers.

Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required, College Education/Degree highly desirable. 
    • Highly proficient with the use of computers, including email, and Microsoft Office programs especially Excel spreadsheets.
    • Work schedule is 7 am – 4 pm Monday through Friday.
    • Excellent customer relationship and communication skills; verbal and written. 
    • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and follow-up skills. 
    • Emphasis on risk mitigation and problem-solving.
    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
    • Capable of working on multiple projects and the same time within a given time frame.
    • Able to work independently.
    • Efficiently work with other departments.
    • Must possess efficient typing skills, at least 40 WPM.

Responsibilities:

    • Manage daily operational tasks. 
    • Provide administrative and logistical project support.
    • Basic data entry and timekeeping.
    • Submit billing as needed, and update project forecasting.
    • Create job numbers and dispatch electricians.
    • Scheduling technician arrivals.
    • Create and maintain project files.
    • Effectively keep communication with technicians.
    • Provide customer and Wachter project management team with status updates daily or weekly.
    • Arrange travel plans including booking flights, vehicle rentals, and hotel reservations.
    • Professionally greet clients and make them feel comfortable, both in person and over the phone.
    • Arrange lift and vehicle rentals and tracking.
    • Track tool orders.
    • Maintain and organize technician information.
    • Creation of BISs for billing. 
    • Collaborate with human resources and payroll on time discrepancies.
    • Maintain a high standard of quality and professionalism with regard to workmanship, customer relations, coworkers, behavior, and appearance. 
    • Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your supervisor may assign. 
    • Adhere to all required project safety requirements as set forth by the Company and OSHA.
$16 - $18 an hour
Based on experience and qualifications.
