Position Description:

We are looking for a River Restoration Inspector to join our Construction team to improve infrastructure in our Flint office. Candidates must have a high school diploma and a minimum of two years of related inspection experience. Knowledge of open channels, drainages and river restoration is preferred. Candidates must have a SESC/Storm Water Operator certificate and concrete testing experience. Candidates must also be self-motivated and able to work well with others.

Typical responsibilities include:

    • Conduct field inspections to verify Contract requirements on assigned project 
    • Prepare and/or review Inspector's Daily Reports in FieldManager/Book
    • Organize and maintain construction documentation in FieldManager
    • Act as the on-site liaison with client and community
    • Interact and communicate effectively with on-site construction contractors
    • Have an understanding of reading plans and specifications
    • Have an understanding of determining elevations of existing and future grades
    • Assist Project Manager with contract requirements
    • Prepare forms and other paperwork in a timely manner
    • Attend seminars and/or training courses
    • Maintain excellent client relations
    • Maintain a safe working environment

Education:

    • High School Diploma

Skills/Experience:

    • 2+ years of related inspection experience required
    • Experience with open channels, drainages and river restoration is preferred
    • SESC/Storm Water Operator certification and knowledge of concrete testing is required
