Job Brief:
Wahed Invest is a mission-driven Islamic fintech pioneering ethical investing for Muslims worldwide. We're launching a focused research internship to explore why pensions are underutilised within the UK Muslim community—and to help uncover practical, faith-aligned solutions that improve long-term financial wellbeing and inclusion.
Job Description:
- Conduct qualitative research (interviews, focus groups, surveys) with Muslims across age groups and income levels to understand barriers to pension participation.
- Engage with employers, community organisations, financial providers, and policy-makers to gather expert insight.
- Map the factors driving under-subscription across Muslims in the UK.
- Feed insights into the organisation’s product and proposition development, helping shape pension offerings.
- Prepare a comprehensive report with findings and solution proposals.
Job Specification:
- Experience designing and conducting research projects.
- A self-starter with a hands-on approach and a can-do attitude.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working independently and engaging with multiple stakeholders.
- An interest in financial inclusion, pensions, or Islamic finance is a strong plus.
