Looking for an internship that actually means something? One where you’ll work side by side with licensed engineers, project managers, and industry leaders shaping the built environment across the country? At Walker Consultants, you’ll be part of a nationally respected firm—and you’ll get real experience that goes far beyond the classroom. As a full-time intern, you’ll join a collaborative, hands-on environment where your work matters. You’ll contribute to real projects, gain exposure to both field and office work, and learn how all the pieces of a project come together from concept to completion.
What You’ll Do:
- Take an active role in preparing project documents, including drawings and reports.
- Participate in field investigations and condition assessments to identify causes of deterioration or verify as-built conditions.
- Visit active job sites and support construction observations and reporting.
- Assist with the structural design of project elements and review shop drawings/submittals.
- Learn how multidisciplinary teams bring projects to life through coordination and collaboration.
- Support your team with additional project-related tasks as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Junior, Senior, or Master’s student pursuing a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- GPA of 3.25 or higher.
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Eagerness to learn, contribute, and grow in a fast-paced consulting environment.
- Willingness to travel for site visits.
