How Your Role will Shape Our Success

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Structural/Architectural Drafting Technician to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and contribute to the technical development of high-quality design and construction documents.

As a Design Technician, you’ll work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to support project planning and coordination. Your responsibilities will include developing accurate Revit models and AutoCAD drawings, as well as assisting with shop drawing reviews, field measurements, and other project support tasks. Your attention to detail and technical expertise will play a key role in translating design concepts into clear, buildable documentation.

What You'll Do
- Develop 3D models in Autodesk Revit. 
- Prepare project drawings and construction documents in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD for both new design and restoration projects. 
- Coordinate drawings with both internal and external clients. 
- Assist in parking striping and signage layout. 
- Assist in shop drawing review. 
- Assists with field evaluation and punch list site visits.   

What You Bring
- 2 year or 4 year degree in Engineering Technology, Architectural Technology, Building Construction Technology, Computer Aided Drafting, or similar. 
- Candidate should have experience in construction document production and be proficient in AutoCAD and Revit. 
- 3-5 years of technical support preferred. 
- Candidates with in-depth understanding of structural concrete or architectural design fundamentals preferred. 
- Good communication, writing skills, and interpersonal skills required. 
- Must be able to work in a team environment. 

Compensation & Benefits 
At Walker Consultants, we are committed to maintaining fairness and equity in our pay practices. For this role, the estimated base salary range is $50,000 – $60,000 per year. The final salary offered may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law.
