The Engineering PMO Leader is a critical and strategic role, responsible for leading process
improvement efforts throughout engineering. Leading the engineering project portfolio globally,
the PMO Leader also will operate locally as a scrum master. The successful candidate will work
closely with Engineering and Product leadership to provide ongoing visibility into the project
portfolio, striving to improve upon existing agile processes, and leading a small team of globally
distributed scrum masters.

WANdisco’s PMO (Project Management Office) Team is responsible for collaborating with Product
and Engineering teams to support the delivery of all strategic software development projects and
process improvement initiatives. The PMO Team is responsible for the planning, coordination, and
ultimately the fostering of a project delivery environment to produce the highest level of product
quality that the company is proud to distribute.

Description

    • Leverage strong relationship management skills, including verbal and written communications with senior/executive management and development/test engineering to routinely report/present project status and key KPIs
    • Manage and escalate project risks and issues as appropriate; establish success metrics for projects to ensure performance is tracked and measured
    • Lead the execution of scrum ceremonies, support local engineering teams and ensure alignment to scrum best-practices 
    • Leverage experience to collaborate and coach remote scrum-masters 
    • Collaborate with product and engineering leads to identify innovative ideas to enhance engineering productivity, improve quality and processes

Qualifications

    • 5+ Years of experience project managing software development with an agile discipline, preferably operating as a Scrum Master
    • 10+ Years leading technology projects or process improvement efforts
    • Strong knowledge of software project management tools, experience with JIRA Portfolio a plus
    • Excellent project management and planning skills, sustained track record of successfully managing multiple programs/projects concurrently, and the ability to influence across the board
    • Experience with large scale process improvement, change management, process/product quality measurement methods (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.)
    • Demonstrate track record of execution excellence, thinking and leading strategically
    • Experience working with globally distributed teams
    • Experience with engineering statistics, data analytics a plus
    • Ability to travel internationally (up to 15%)

Preferred Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Computer Science or equivalent experience
    • Project Management Professional Certification (Prince, PMP, ACP)
    • Certified Scrum Master Certification (CSM)
    • Process Certifications, Kaizen, Six Sigma, ITIL
