As part of WANdisco’s Customer Experience organisation, the UX / UI Designer’s role is to work with Product Managers, Architects and Software Developers to design user interfaces which simplify complex problems and provide an attractive and user-friendly experience for our customers, allowing them to self-serve and optimise their use of our software.
The successful candidate will have an eye for clean, simple design and be able to translate high-level user flows and wireframes into functional and intuitive user interface designs. The initiative to make decisions based on solid understanding of user behaviour and a deep understanding of usability best practises is key to success within this role.
Key Qualifications
- A curiosity to learn and a desire to help others
- 2+ years of UX designer experience in a software development environment
- Experience using Figma (or equivalent software) for designing and prototyping designs
- Strong background in full end to end UX lifecycle
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience of working in an Agile/Scrum-based environment
- Enthusiasm and passion for sharing knowledge with others
- Knowledge and experience of enterprise software and/or big data is desirable
Responsibilities
- Plot user journeys and design user workflows
- Refine low level wireframes into clear user interface designs
- Provide input to inform intelligent product design and UX workflow
- Design features for UI and command-line interfaces in line with style guides and technical constraints
- Collaborate with developers and provide guidance to help them implement features and solutions
- Work as part of a larger Customer Experience team that spans across products, to ensure consistency in both presentation and functionality
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Digital Design or a related field
