Ware Malcomb is seeking an experienced Web Developer to join our Digital Transformation team and support the creation of cutting-edge web applications.
The Web Developer will collaborate with the AI Software Engineer & DevOps to design user-friendly, responsive, and scalable web applications that enhance our AI solutions. The role involves building and optimizing the front-end and back-end components of web applications, ensuring seamless user experiences, and integrating with AI powered services.
Your Role
- Collaborate closely with the AI Software Engineer and the Digital Transformation team to design and develop web applications that integrate with AI-powered solutions.
- Create responsive and user-friendly front-end interfaces using modern web technologies like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Develop and maintain back-end services and APIs using frameworks like Flask, Django, REST API, Django REST Framework, GraphQL, SOAP.
- Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of web applications, utilizing industry best practices.
- Integrate front-end components with AI and backend services to create a seamless user experience.
- Optimize web applications for speed and scalability, ensuring that AI-powered services are delivered efficiently.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure applications are intuitive and visually appealing.
- Implement and manage web application deployments on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), ensuring reliable operation in production environments.
- Write and maintain technical documentation related to web development processes and systems.
- Stay up to date with the latest web development trends, technologies, and best practices to continually improve the web development process and user experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
- 3+ years of professional experience in web development, with a focus on building and scaling web applications.
- Strong expertise in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, React, JavaScript) and frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Proficiency in back-end development with frameworks like Flask, Django, or Node.js, and experience building APIs.
- Experience in more than one of the following backend languages: Java, C#, Python, Go, C++, Ruby and corresponding frameworks ie. Spring boot
- Proficient in scaling web applications to handle performance issues such as concurrency, synchronous/asynchronous processing
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and experience deploying and managing web applications in cloud environments.
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies and experience working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex web application issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in the Digital Transformation team.
- Passion for staying up to date with the latest web development trends, technologies, and best practices, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
