Role Description: Senior HRIS & Compensation Analyst 
 
Role Purpose: 
 
As a Senior HRIS & Compensation Analyst at Wasabi, you will play a crucial role in managing our Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and ensuring fair and competitive compensation practices. You will work closely with the HR team, Finance department, and other stakeholders to streamline processes, maintain data accuracy, and provide insightful analysis to support decision-making. 

This role will report into the Senior Manager of People Operations.

Responsibilities:

    • HRIS Management: 
    • Oversee the administration, configuration, and maintenance of HRIS software (e.g., UKG, Lever, Greenhouse, etc.) 
    • Collaborate with IT to ensure system integrations, data integrity, and security protocols. 
    • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide user support and training as needed. 
    • Regularly update HRIS records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. 
    • Develops processes to optimize the usability of the system in terms of new processes and reporting.  
    • Assist in delivering streamlined automation for events like open enrollment, Compensation Planning, etc. 
    • Be the interface to help build connections between all of our carriers.
    • Compensation Analysis: 
    • Implementing and administering compensation programs for all staff, including reviews of base, variable, and equity pay. 
    • Conduct benchmarking and market research to evaluate the competitiveness of our compensation and hiring packages. 
    • Analyze internal and external salary data to recommend adjustments and ensure pay equity. 
    • Collaborate with Business Partners and management to develop and implement compensation strategies aligned with business objectives. 
    • Prepare reports and presentations on compensation trends, budget implications, and recommendations. 
    • Manage compensation cycles and participate in compensation surveys and programs.
    • Compliance and Reporting: 
    • Stay current with federal, state, and local regulations related to HRIS management and compensation practices. 
    • Complete regulatory reporting (EEO, OSHA, DOL) and surveys.
    • Ensure compliance with data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and internal policies. 
    • Generate regular and ad hoc reports on HR metrics, such as turnover rates, headcount analysis, and compensation analytics. 
    • Process Improvement: 
    • Identify opportunities to streamline HRIS workflows and improve efficiency. 
    • Participate in system enhancements, upgrades, and implementation projects. 
    • Develop and document HRIS procedures and best practices. 
    • Liaison with IT teams to develop solutions to business & system issues.

Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field. 
    • 5-8 years of experience in HRIS administration and compensation analysis, preferably in a technology or fast-paced environment. 
    • Experience working with UKG required.  
    • Strong understanding of HRIS platforms and proficiency in data management and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL). 
    • Understands the MS Office Suite of products including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. 
    • Knowledge of compensation principles, market analysis techniques, and regulatory requirements. 
    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights. 
    • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. 
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. 
    • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) and/or relevant technical certifications are a plus.
