The Team:
The Operations team performs all back-office functions for our clients, including but not limited to trade settlements, corporate action processing, portfolio reconciliation, portfolio valuation, and client reporting. The team is also responsible for onboarding new clients, client guideline management, and client proxy voting. All Operations team members are offered the opportunity to engage with colleagues from across the firm through their day-to-day tasks and Compliance committee participation.
The Role:
We seek a suitable candidate to join our Operations team as a Specialist to primarily work on portfolio reconciliations and manage external counterparty relationships with client custodians. The successful candidate will be responsible for some of the functions listed below. Development and cross-training will be provided for the person to support the business effectively.
Responsibilities:
· Support global markets investment activities by overseeing the day-to-day portfolio operations, including reconciliations, settlements, and cash management.
· Work with external counterparties, brokers, and service providers to resolve operational issues, keep track of market developments and ensure service level is met.
· Provide daily systems and data management support.
· Drive process improvements for productivity and quality enhancement; design solutions to integrate into processes.
· Cross-train on tasks such as corporate action processing, client restriction monitoring, and various audit functions.
· Participate in client reporting by completing reporting templates, compliance certifications, and other manual reporting requirements.
· Contribute to various technology and product enhancement initiatives.
· Participation in Compliance committees.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
· Knowledge of the financial industry is preferred but not required.
· Inquisitive and curious, detail-oriented, strong analytical ability, excellent communication skills, and possess a drive for excellence.
· Constantly keep up to date with industry developments, resourceful, and able to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines and multiple priorities.
· A good team player who collaborates well with internal and external counterparts, is self-motivated and enjoys working in a dynamic environment.
· Proficient in Excel. Additional technology skills are a plus.
