Washburn Center for Children is a leading children’s mental health center, caring for a wide variety of children’s needs associated with anxiety, depression, behavioral difficulties and trauma.

Washburn Center for Children serves almost 4,000 children ages 0-18 and approximately 9,000 family members each year. Washburn Center’s three office locations – Brooklyn Park, Edina, and Minneapolis – serve the entire Twin Cities metro area. The nonprofit also offers in-home services, and its school-based program serves 50+ schools in the Eden Prairie, Bloomington, Minneapolis, Savage, Burnsville and Eagan school districts.

Washburn Center has an opening for a part time Outpatient Therapist at our Minneapolis, Brooklyn Park and Edina locations.
RESPONSBILITIES
Clinical Treatment – Clinicians will provide a combination of the following mental health services, including:
*Conduct diagnostics assessments
*Develop and implement a treatment plan with the family based on the diagnosis
*Provide Individual and family therapy
*Care coordination, including collaboration with psychiatrists and other professionals working with the child
*Create a discharge plan
*Some clinicians will also be required to provide group therapy and psychological testing as assigned by the supervisor.
*Each clinician on the Outpatient team will be required to maintain monthly services consistent with budgeted quota expectations, on average of 23 billable sessions per week for Full-time.
Documentation – Clinicians will be expected to maintain required documentation as specified in our Clinical Policy Manual, including Diagnostics assessments, Treatment plans, progress notes, Outcome instruments and assessment tools and
Discharge summaries
Supervision and Professional Development – Clinicians are expected to:
*Attend weekly supervision and case consultation, present case information and formulation, and identify questions for consultation and supervision.
*Provide clinical and administrative supervision for interns as assigned by the program supervisor based on licensure and experience, and assist with providing training, feedback, and learning experiences for the program interns.
*Maintain required CEUs.
Requirements for position:
- Must have a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, or other human service field
- Independent licensure as LICSW, LPCC, LP, or LMFT preferred but not required
- 3-5 years of experience assessing and treating children and families required; 5 or more years of experience preferred
- Strong skills in children’s mental health diagnostic assessment and treatment
- Demonstrated knowledge of cultural diversity and the role of culture in the therapeutic process
$58,000 - $75,000 a year
Salary based on Licensure and Experience and pro-rated to Part-time status
Pro-rated based on Full Time Equivalent

Vacation: Paid Vacation accrues at 10 hours of vacation per month - up to 15 days / 120 hours annually.
Sick Leave: Paid sick leave accrues at 6.68 hours of sick per month - up to 10 days / 80 hours.
Holidays: There are 2.5 days/20 hours of floating holidays per year in addition to the eight standard holidays.
