WatchGuard is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Network/Systems Administrator to join our IT team. This role will be responsible for the health, and maintenance, and of our network and systems infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of both networking principles and server administration, with experience in managing a diverse environment encompassing on-premises and cloud technologies. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our critical IT services.

Responsibilities:

Networks:
· Configure, and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls.
· Implement and manage Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) for secure remote access and site-to-site connectivity.
· Develop and maintain network segmentation strategies within Microsoft Azure.
· Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and performance bottlenecks.
· Monitor network performance and security, implementing necessary improvements and security measures.
· Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless network integration with systems and applications.

Systems:
· Administer and maintain on-premises hypervisor environment (VMware).
· Manage and implement digital certificates for various services and applications.
· Develop and execute backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
· Perform regular patching and updates for operating systems (Windows and Linux) and applications.
· Maintain and troubleshoot Windows and Linux server environments.
· Manage and administer Active Directory, including user accounts, group policies, and security settings.

General Responsibilities:
· Utilize Jira for managing project tasks, tracking service requests, and resolving incidents.
· Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation using Confluence.
· Participate in an on-call rotation to provide timely support for critical system and network issues outside of regular business hours.
· Collaborate effectively with other IT team members to provide excellent technical support.
· Contribute to the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
· Participate in IT projects and initiatives, contributing technical expertise and ensuring successful outcomes.

Qualifications:
· Proficient in the English language, both written and spoken (B2 or above)
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent practical experience of four or more years in a systems and network administration role.
· Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing protocols).
· Experience implementing and managing VPN solutions.
· Proven experience with Azure networking concepts and segmentation strategies.
· Solid experience administering hypervisor environments (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware).
· Experience managing digital certificates.
· Proficiency in implementing and managing backup and recovery solutions.
· Strong experience with Windows Server and Linux operating systems administration.
· Experience managing and maintaining Active Directory.
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
· Must be able to participate in an on-call rotation.

Preferred Qualifications:
· Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Linux certifications).
· Cloud experience – SSO, SaaS, IaaS.
· Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
· Experience with monitoring and alerting tools.
