Objective:
The Sales Associate is an entry-level sales role within the Waterworks showroom, designed as a 12–18 month position. In this role, you will work in a dynamic showroom environment, supporting sales efforts and collaborating closely with experienced Sales Consultants. Responsibilities include responding to client emails, preparing quotes and specification packets, and assisting walk-in clients—all while gaining in-depth knowledge of Waterworks products, systems, clients, and the sales process. As you grow in the role, you will begin building your own client list to prepare for a seamless transition into a Sales Consultant position.

Responsibilities
- Greet and assist walk-in clients in the showroom with professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Respond promptly to client emails and inquiries.
- Provide accurate quotes and spec packets to support client needs.
- Begin building and managing a personal client list.
- Collaborate closely with Sales Consultants to support ongoing sales efforts.
- Assist in preparing presentations, proposals, and product recommendations.
- Learn and apply Waterworks’ sales process and client engagement strategies.
- Develop a deep understanding of Waterworks’ product lines, finishes, and design applications.
- Learn internal systems and tools used for quoting, ordering, and client management.
- Maintain showroom appearance and ensure product displays are current and well-presented.
- Support showroom events and client visits as needed.
- Actively participate in training and mentorship opportunities.
- Demonstrate growth in product knowledge, client interaction, and sales readiness.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Prior experience (0-2 years) in sales or customer service is a plus but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with a passion for design and a drive to achieve sales targets
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Proficiency in using MS Office Suite; ERP experience a plus
- An entrepreneurial spirit with a willingness to learn, grow and collaborate
- Local travel required up to 10%
- Plumbing and/or tile industry experience preferred

Ability to lift and mobilize small to medium items up to 25 lbs. while utilizing appropriate equipment and techniques. Ability to maneuver effectively around showroom floor, stock room and office. Position could entail periods of standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending and climbing. Licensed to drive preferred. Ability to travel locally or out of state.
