About The Role
The Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting, plays a vital role in ensuring the integrity of Wave's accounting records. They will support Wave's internal management reporting, reporting to our parent company, H&R Block, and statutory and regularory reporting through recording routine and non-routine journal entries, preparing account reconciliations, managing various asset drawdown schedules, and performing financial reporting controls.

You’ll Make An Impact By:

    • Reporting actual monthly results to management including a high-level revenue variance analysis to prior months, as well as detailed income statement and balance sheet variance analysis, investigating any discrepancies.
    • Liaising with stakeholders and building/maintaining accounting processes to ensure accurate reporting for products and operating expenses.
    • Supporting Wave’s external reporting requirements, including the preparation of financial statements for various legal entities
    • Assisting with periodic internal and external audits by analyzing and presenting our financial information through standardized working papers and working with auditors as needed
    • Supporting sales tax/income tax/business tax reporting and filings as needed.

    • A track record as a team player who can collaborate within the Finance team and with business stakeholders.
    • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Excellent communication skills with a customer service focus.
