THE OPPORTUNITY
Wavicle is hiring a Senior Technical Project Manager with proven experience in managing large-scale technology transformation programs. Prior expertise in cloud migration projects (AWS to GCP preferred) is highly desirable.
WHAT YOU WILL GET TO DO
- Project Management: Strong Project Management Skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to influence others' behaviors, breakdown barriers, build trust and foster collaboration. Develop detailed project plans and associated communication plans/materials.
- Systems Development Management: Leads data & analytics development projects which support the organization's objectives and plans. Reviews the progress of development projects, ensuring that projects are carried out in accordance with agreed standards (including industry & the clients standards), methods and procedures.
- Relationship Management: Facilitates open communication and discussion between project stakeholders. Negotiates with stakeholders at senior levels and ensures that organizational policy and strategies are adhered to.
- Other responsibilities include:
- Managing the planning of data & analytic projects, including milestone and detailed project plans.
- Leading project teams in successful project execution including managing scope, change management, resource management, risk management, issue management, and quality assurance.
- Collaborating with resource managers to solidify and manage resource plans to ensure capacity is available to meet expected project demand.
- Delivering quality data & analytic solutions that meet the constraints of time, cost and scope.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related degree is required.
- 5+ years of experience leading complex, data warehouse, data lake, cloud migration, and/or technical analytics implementation projects in a matrixed and offshore environment is required.
- Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, including leading and facilitating all Agile ceremonies.
- Experience in managing Cloud Migration projects preferably AWS to GCP.
- Outstanding interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication / presentation skills is required.
- Proven ability to collaborate with offshore teams.
- Proficiency in preparing and delivering status reports, executive leadership presentations, steering committee decks, and approach documents as required.
- Experience working with a project management tool like Microsoft Project, Jira or Clarity is required.
