Wavicle Data Solutions seeks a Backend API Developer.

WHAT YOU WILL GET TO DO

    • Seeking experience with multiple Azure projects including CosmosDB or other noSQL Database.
    • Databricks-SparkSQL
    • Apollo/GraphQL


    • Design, implement, and maintain robust GraphQL APIs using the Apollo framework to ensure efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
    • Design and optimize database schemas and domains using Cosmos DB and other NoSQL technologies to support scalable and high-performance applications.
    • Build and maintain ETL pipelines using Databricks and Spark SQL to process and transform large datasets efficiently.
    • Deploy, monitor, and manage applications on Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
    • Collaborate with the development team using Git for version control, including managing branches, reviewing and merging pull requests, and maintaining code quality.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

    • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or relevant degree is required. 
    • Proven experience as a Data engineer, software engineer, or similar role.
    • 5+ years building services or applications using Python leveraging different libraries.
    • 5+ years of experience with Cloud platforms (Azure preferred), and Python programming and frameworks. 
    • Proven experience with Azure cloud technologies including Azure Data factory, Service Bus, and Azure Functions.
    • 3+ experience building CI/CD pipeline using Azure DevOps. 
    • Familiarity with Azure Bicep and Azure Cosmos DB. 
    • Proficient in Javascript/ Typescript and NodeJS for backend development.
    • Strong understanding of application architecture and design principles.
    • Experience in database design.
    • Familiarity with ETL pipeline design and implementation.
    • Solid understanding of Git repositories, branch management and pull request work flows.
    • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgement. 
    • Candidates can reside anywhere in the U.S. and work remotely; however, must be flexible to travel up to 25% to client location if needed.
$60 - $75 an hour
