FLIK is looking for a Dining Services Manager to join the Westminster-Canterbury of the Blue Ridge (WCBR) team! The Service Manager works to oversee Dining Services Supervisors to coordinate the operation of all associates to ensure smooth, efficient, and courteous operations in all dining facilities throughout Westminster-Canterbury of the Blue Ridge.  

WCBR is a Continuing Care Retirement Community offering a full continuum of on-site long-term care in Charlottesville, VA. We offer independent living in our cottages and apartments, assisted living, health care and a memory support unit.

At WCBR, we use local, fresh ingredients to produce food for our 4 restaurant and dining venues. These venues include formal dining, casual dining, an upscale bar, a marketplace, along with healthcare and assisted living dining rooms. We also host holiday and special/VIP events.

Responsibilities

    • Oversees all dining operations, including catering functions.
    • Interacts with residents, guests, and associates and resolves customer complaints in a friendly and service oriented manner.
    • Assists with profit and loss and budgeting as it pertains to Dining Services.
    • Works with the Chef and management team in creating menus and providing top quality food.
    • Assists in the responsibility for all food service-related activities; including quality improvement, sanitation, infection control and all facility-related activities.
    • Works closely with other departments and residents to plan, set up, and execute all catering functions.
    • Works with the Dining Manager to communicate daily with supervisory team to ensure departmental procedures are being followed.

    • Demonstrated ability to schedule, coordinate, and implement activities with numerous details and multiple deadlines; ability to perform under pressure.
    • Ability to work with attention to detail and minimal supervision.

Requirements

    • Associates degree required; bachelor's degree preferred.
    • 3 to 5 years of experience in a supervisory role.
