Your career is an investment that grows over time!

Wealthsimple is on a mission to help everyone achieve financial freedom by reimagining what it means to manage your money. Using smart technology, we take financial services that are often confusing, opaque and expensive and make them transparent and low-cost for everyone. We’re the largest fintech company in Canada, with over 3 million users who trust us with more than $30 billion in assets.

Our teams ship often and make an impact with groundbreaking ideas. We're looking for talented people who keep it simple and value collaboration and humility as we continue to create inclusive and high-performing teams where people can be inspired to do their best work.

About the role
Reporting to the Senior Director of HR Services, you will be responsible for leading and creating key company-wide talent management programs such as employee engagement, learning and development, diversity, and talent development. You will continuously coordinate with different teams to get feedback and make sure our programs hit the mark, and can adapt when things change.

In this role you will have the opportunity to:

    • Be a strong voice and critical leader, driving every aspect of the HR programs function, letting the Wealthsimple vision and culture be the guide.
    • Design, shape and drive key strategic talent programs that support: employee engagement, learning and development, diversity, talent development and many more creative programs, including change management processes.
    • Continuously evolve our best practices based on data driven metrics so we can scale effectively, while maintaining our culture and creating an environment for people to do their best work.
    • Own People Operations communications and change management strategy and execution.
    • Proactively identify blockers and facilitate solutions to improve our performance, collaboration, and engagement. Support continuous improvement and introduce modern best practices to our people strategies to better engage and enable our people and teams.
    • Inspire, teach and lead a talented team of HR professionals on program management best practices.
    • Champion human-centered design principles to enable co-creation of innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of the business.

Skills we’re looking for:

    • Has substantial relevant experience in core people operations, operations or can otherwise demonstrate expertise in human-centric program development and execution, ideally in a fast growing tech environment.
    • Has demonstrated strength in cross-functional stakeholder management and ability to work with different business functions (R&D, Finance, Operations, other).
    • Has demonstrated strength as an internal communications leader with experience in company-wide change management.
    • Has experience developing and executing programs and change management at a high growth company.
    • Has experience in the full life cycle of program management from ideation and development to execution and maintenance.
    • Has experience advising leaders on people strategies, builds strong partnerships at all levels of the company and has expertise in navigating difficult stakeholder conversations.
    • Direct people management experience and has broader experience building a strong team and set of people practices.
    • Doesn't believe in one-size-fits-all solutions or sticking with the tried and true. You've seen it all and can advise on what does and doesn't work, but create custom solutions tailored around your understanding of our unique team.
