Your career is an investment that grows over time!

Wealthsimple is on a mission to help everyone achieve financial freedom by reimagining what it means to manage your money. Using smart technology, we take financial services that are often confusing, opaque and expensive and make them transparent and low-cost for everyone. We’re the largest fintech company in Canada, with over 4 million users who trust us with more than $80 billion in assets.

Our teams ship often and make an impact with groundbreaking ideas. We're looking for talented people who keep it simple and value collaboration and humility as we continue to create inclusive and high-performing teams where people can be inspired to do their best work.

About the team:
The Digital Advice team supports Wealthsimple's mission of providing financial freedom by delivering exceptional advice at scale, supporting human advisors, and ensuring excellence in portfolio management operations. Our team's top priorities are to scale advice through digital innovation, building a premier wealth management business and delivering world class managed account operations. We're a small, diverse team that's answering the question - how can we leverage technology to make it easier for people to help themselves with personal finance?

About the role:
In this role, you will join a small group of talented and dedicated professionals with a clear mission to empower all of our clients to make smarter financial decisions through scaled advice. The Digital Advice team operates within the sales organization, working alongside advisors and planners who engage directly with our clients. This team drives advice innovation, creates advisor content, oversees portfolio management operations, and supports internal training.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

    • Shake up the wealth management world: Help us scale financial advice and make it accessible to everyone — because good financial guidance shouldn't be reserved for the wealthy few.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with product, investment research, marketing, and other teams to ship high-quality systems, products, tools, and content that our clients actually love using.
    • Drive progress on what matters most: Support and lead development across our key pillars — crafting inclusive content, building smart digital tools (including AI), and evolving our portfolio management operations.
    • Build frameworks that work: Develop and champion effective financial advisory practices that help Canadians reach their financial goals.
    • Grow alongside incredible people: Work with a team of talented, dedicated professionals who will challenge you, support you, and accelerate your growth every day.

What you'll bring:

    • Mission-driven mindset: You want to make a real difference and play an integral part in helping Canadians achieve financial freedom — this isn't just another job for you.
    • Investment expertise with regulatory experience: You hold a CFA (preferred) or CIM designation and have at least 2 years of experience in a CIRO or OSC regulated role, with deep knowledge of markets and investment solutions.
    • Innovation and execution skills: You have a proven track record of generating creative ideas and successfully executing projects from start to finish, always looking for ways to improve the status quo.
    • Collaborative self-starter: You're a natural team player who leaves ego at the door, while also being able to identify, lead, and execute your own initiatives independently.
    • Strong analytical foundation: You bring excellent data skills and attention to detail (SQL knowledge and writing experience are valuable assets).
    • Passion for fintech and personal finance: You're deeply curious about the latest investment research, embrace technology's role in financial services, and enjoy digging into how it all applies to helping people.
    • Growth-oriented approach: You have a genuine growth mindset and thrive on learning, collaboration, and being stretched by talented colleagues who will accelerate your development.
