Reporting to the Director of People Operations, the People Operations Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the systems and processes that power DREAM’s recruitment operations are seamless, scalable, and data-driven. This role helps build and maintain the operational backbone that supports DREAM’s ability to hire and retain exceptional talent. The People Operations Coordinator will contribute to the development of cross-functional workflows, data tools, and events that ensure a high-quality candidate experience. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and collaborative professional to learn how to build and manage efficient people operations systems while gaining exposure to many different aspects of recruitment.
Responsibilities
- Recruitment Operations
- Execute DREAM’s job posting strategy, including posting roles, monitoring performance, and implementing strategies to attract top candidates;
- Manage the day-to-day functionality of DREAM’s applicant tracking system, including user permissions, troubleshooting, and ensuring consistent execution of recruitment processes within the system;
- Coordinate logistics that enable efficient execution of recruitment processes, such as reserving space for group interviews;
- Maintain offer letter templates and related systems to ensure offers can be created and delivered accurately and at scale;
- Maintain job description templates and systems to ensure postings remain accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with DREAM’s formatting and content standards;
- Support recruitment teams in interpreting hiring data and take action to support strategies that drive progress toward hiring goals;
- Implement and improve processes that enable outreach to high-potential leads;
- Execute DREAM’s referral program, including tracking referrals, reviewing them for bonus eligibility, and processing payouts in accordance with program policy.
- People Systems & Data
- Ensure data accuracy across all data tools that support the day-to-day work of the recruitment team;
- Leverage AI to develop tools, dashboards, and workflows that support the efficient execution of recruitment and retention processes;
- Support hands-on execution of recruitment and retention processes while new systems and tools are being developed;
- Update the visual of DREAM’s organizational chart at key points during the year, based on automated data systems.
- Events & Logistics
- Plan and execute logistics for recruitment events, team-wide meetings, and other major People & Equity events;
- Manage swag and supplies to support recruitment, referrals, new hire onboarding, and other major People & Equity events;
- Submit invoices and payment requests on behalf of the People & Equity Team, and ensure all credit card transactions are properly coded;
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by People & Equity team leaders to support team priorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required;
- 1-2 years of relevant experience;
- Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to exceptional quality and accuracy;
- A solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to approach problems with curiosity and initiative;
- Experience using AI in a professional or personal context;
- Comfortable with technology and data;
- Experience with Excel or Google Sheets, a plus;
- Able to build strong working relationships and communicate effectively across teams;
- Highly organized, flexible, and able to manage multiple priorities;
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment;
- Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive and confidential information;
- A strong belief in the mission and values of DREAM, including the desire to make a difference in the lives of our students, families, and community.
Working Expectations
- The People Operations Coordinator is part of the People & Equity Team, which currently works 3 days in the office and up to 2 days remote, per week (subject to change).

Compensation
- DREAM offers a competitive salary commensurate with relevant experience with the potential for an annual performance-based increase. The incoming salary range for this position is $65,000 to $70,000 per year. New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary closer to the start of the range depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role. All staff are eligible for annual performance-based increases. Because we value staff tenure in each role, we do not currently cap salary ranges.
