This role combines deep technical expertise with proven leadership skills, requiring someone who can inspire high-performing teams, scale engineering functions, and drive innovation across products and platforms.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and hands-on leader who can balance long-term vision with day-to-day execution. You’ll work closely with product, design, and business leaders to deliver scalable, reliable, and customer-focused solutions while fostering a culture of excellence, ownership, and growth within the engineering organization.
What You’ll Do
Lead Engineering at Scale: Oversee multiple engineering teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and seamless execution of technical strategies.
Inspire & Develop Leaders: Mentor engineering managers and senior engineers, providing coaching, guidance, and career development opportunities.
Drive Technical Excellence: Provide architectural direction and ensure systems are secure, maintainable, and scalable to meet current and future business demands.
Shape Engineering Practices: Define, implement, and continuously improve engineering processes, tools, and best practices to maximize team efficiency and product quality.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with product, design, operations, and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact outcomes.
Balance Priorities: Manage short-term delivery needs while investing in long-term technical capabilities and reducing technical debt.
Build & Scale Teams: Attract, hire, and retain top engineering talent while fostering an inclusive and high-performance culture.
Measure What Matters: Define and track KPIs to assess engineering productivity, quality, and impact on business outcomes.
Be the Voice of Engineering: Represent engineering priorities to leadership and communicate vision, goals, and progress across the organization.
What You’ll Bring
Experience: 12–15 years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in engineering leadership roles.
Leadership Track Record: Proven ability to manage and grow large, distributed, and diverse engineering teams.
Technical Depth: Strong foundation in modern software engineering practices, scalable architectures, and system design.
Hands-On Understanding: While not a daily coder, you can dive deep into technical discussions and guide teams toward sound decisions.
Strategic Mindset: Ability to align technology strategy with business goals while balancing tactical execution.
People Leadership: Excellent coaching, mentoring, and team-building skills with a passion for developing future leaders.
Collaboration Skills: Strong communicator who can influence and align cross-functional stakeholders.
Agility: Comfortable working in fast-paced, product-driven environments with evolving priorities.
