Welocalize is seeking a SwedishLinguistic Tester to provide QA for media content. This individual will be a part of the team that performs quality checks on Media content, looking for any quality issues such as formatting, functionality, or anything else that may interfere with an optimal customer experience. This team is also responsible for verifying and correcting metadata on books' content that is imported into our internal database with the objective to help improve the presentation and searchability of the books in the store.
Job Title: Swedish Linguistic Tester
Location: Remote in Cupertino, CA (Even though the role is remote, we need the selected candidate to be near Cupertino to pick up the equipment)
Workweek: Monday-Friday (40 hours/week) Employees have some flexibility in their schedule but must start their work between 7:30 am and 10:30 am daily.
Type of employment: W-2 employee, eligible for benefits based on hours worked
Duration: 12 months + possibility of an extension
Hourly Rate: $35/hr
Start Date: As soon as possible
The successful candidate must have a valid work authorization for the United States. Welocalize does not provide visa sponsorship for this role.

Experience and Qualifications.
- Mac and iOS user or power user
- Fluent in Swedish as a first language, as well as English
- Must be highly detail-oriented with the ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment
- Tech-savvy with a desire to play a role in improving technology solutions
- Adept at working with large data sets and identifying patterns
- Ability to draw conclusions from data and recommend actions
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as in small and large cross-functional teams
- BS/BA and 2+ years of work experience in the field of data management
- Ability to quickly detect issues and inconsistencies from a massive sea of content and make sound judgment calls based on information at hand
- Proven ability to maintain solid focus through many hours of performing repetitive tasks
- Sharp problem-solving and analytical skills, along with the ability to learn from history and actively help errors from reoccurring
- A wide range of knowledge of authors, genres of books, the publishing industry, and digital book formats is highly preferred
- Familiarity with XML and web-based content management systems preferred
- Basic editorial experience preferred
