Solutions Architect is the trusted Sales Engineering partner to Business Development and Account Managers, weaving solution storytelling and competitive pricing into winning proposals for existing and future customers. The Solutions Architect must have significant expertise both commercial strategy and pricing of services, preferably in the AI services space, and experience crafting and showcasing unique narratives through written or presentation form. The Architect is responsible for the management of, development, and implementation of the AI Services offering solutions in partnership with Operations, Sales Primes, Marketing, and Product.

Main Duties

    • Solution Design and Win
    • Partner with Commercial prime to inbound client prospects to understand customer’s vision and design ideal program solution.
    • Manage bid process, from curation through delivery, ensuring and gaining input and buy in from relevant stakeholders including Finance, Operations, Commercial, Tech, etc.
    • Instill masterful commercial storytelling throughout communications with customers, to focus on quality and partnership at all stages of the solutioning process.
    • Attend early sales and project planning meetings with client representatives, Welocalize business and project management owners and support selling process through win.
    • Assess client needs utilizing existing program implementations and market best practices to design winning solutions and pricing models for current and future customers.
    • Ideate as required with stakeholders and implementations teams to build new production models in rapidly evolving business context.
    • In partnership with Operational leaders, craft a quality assurance and program structure proposal for each customer that surprise and delight buyers.
    • Guide current and future customers and partners toward a tangible data-driven outcomes and an aligned vision using Welocalize offerings, products, and help customers envision integrating Welocalize offerings into their processes and requirements seamlessly.

    • Solutions and Market Strategy
    • Support Project Managers / Functional Managers through implementation, to reinforce fidelity to customer requirements.
    • Input and represent client requirements into Welocalize‘s Product roadmap and engineering implementations through development of business requirements, generating product ideas.
    • Representing Welocalize within industry forums and attending conferences as needed.
    • Take responsibility for mentoring junior members of the team, providing training and support to the production team, and supporting the Sales team as equal trusted partners.
    • As required by customers, collaborate with other teams to develop, measure and report pre-defined cost and savings efforts for production, in other words, solution production efficiencies for the benefit of both Welocalize and customers.
    • Provide the business with informed evaluation data for new AI Services tools and methodologies, especially, but not only, market and competitor positioning to inform future strategy and offerings.

Other Relevant Skills

    • A good understanding of the overall AI Data Solutions and services business (outside of engineering) and the company strategy.
    • Strong knowledge of pricing analysis, FP&A modeling and Excel modeling ninja skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple proposals and projects in tight turnaround and rapid deadlines. Managing tasks and collaboration with flexibility and urgency across a global team.
    • Experience in pre-sales or post-sales role with external clients across various industry markets.
    • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to communicate and (as needed) demonstrate complex AI/ML data services concepts to a wide range of audiences.
    • Strong interpersonal skills: teamwork, able to learn new skills quickly, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Good organization, prioritization and time management skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills in a culturally diverse environment.
    • Able to clearly communicate detailed information both verbally and in a well written document.
    • Flexibility and ability to learn new technologies.


    • College degree in related area.

Salary Range: $120K to $150K.
