MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

The Testing Lead’s main responsibility is to facilitate/manage all activities related to testing engagements. This role also supervises a team of testers, has a face-to-face relationship with stakeholders throughout the process and works closely with the testing managers to foster and mature the testing programs. 

MAIN DUTIES

The following is a non-exhaustive list of responsibilities and areas of ownership for this role:

•Validate testing material
•Provide testing estimate
•Validate access to testing environment or create testing environment
•Perform preliminary ready-ness checks on testing builds
•Maintain testing machines
•Communicate with clients
•Train testers
•Create testing instruction (test cases, execution log)
•Ensure testers have access to all testing tools
•Create instructions for QA
•Obtain glossaries, DNT lists and other documentation as needed for successful testing.
•Monitor and follow up on testing progress – ensuring testers comply with the instructions, timeline and deliver quality defects. (POC and support for all testing questions and / or direction pertaining current test passes.).
•Defect management in terms of bug scrub/disposition defects. Look for recurrent issues, link them - notice patterns (avoid duplicates, find unreported bugs). 
•coordinate with the translation team/engineers/project managers quickly resolve defects
•Investigate defects, follow up with customers or others as needed to ensure each defect contain all the information needed for fixing and verification
•Prepare and deliver the Testing deliverables and status report to testing managers, project managers and the client
•Provide sign-off after test completion
•Provide feedback to the testers.
•Train and evaluate the performance of the testers
•Evaluation and estimating the testing scope
•Establishing access to the testing environment, 
•Organizing testing material and instructions, testing as well as bug management. 
•Creating sign-off reports after testing. 
•Working closely with the testing managers to assist fostering and maturing the testing programs

REQUIREMENTS
Education Level 
•Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a college or university in related field such as Informatics/Linguistics, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience 
•Energy and a positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills
•The ability to lead diverse, virtual team of testers
•Experience with MS applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
•Ability to navigate networks and websites with different browsers
•Advanced knowledge of PC-hardware (desktop and laptop)
•Advanced knowledge of smart phones (iPhone or Android)
•Curiosity and creativity to question existing processes and approaches and innovate new ones
•Be organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment
•Candidates with Localization/QC/translation experience or with advanced computer skills are preferred
•Excellent Written and verbal communication skills, incl. fluent English
•Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
•Effective presentation skills
•Ability to manage multiple priorities in a time-sensitive and deadline-driven work environment
