ROLE OVERVIEW
At WeloData, we believe that understanding the capabilities of our workforce is essential to driving innovation, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. As Talent Program Leader, you will play a strategic role in shaping our talent landscape by ensuring data-informed decisions, leading programs to expand access to emerging talent, and unlocking enterprise value through skill intelligence.
This role is pivotal in connecting people data with business outcomes, enabling WeloData to adapt to a rapidly evolving talent market while ensuring we remain a great place to work.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and manage WeloData’s enterprise-wide skill data across systems, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and strategic usability.
- Develop and lead programs that embed skill data into core talent decision-making processes, with a clear focus on optimizing business performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Create and maintain frameworks for skill taxonomy, capability mapping, and workforce insights to drive strategic workforce planning and support commercial success.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (e.g., Talent Acquisition, People Success, Program Ops) to align talent data with enterprise goals and commercial KPIs.
- Partner with operational and functional leaders (e.g., Product, Quality, Compliance) to ensure data structures and reporting support the evolving business model with customer commitments and service delivery goals.
- Design and lead scalable programs to engage, develop, and deploy emerging talent, expanding WeloData’s access to underutilized labor markets.
- Partner with business units to co-create strategic approaches to talent identification, acquisition, and upskilling in complex or underserved regions.
- Collaborate with Learning & Development to ensure onboarding and learning pathways meet industry-specific standards and client expectations.
- Define KPIs and measurement systems to assess performance, quality, and ROI of emerging talent initiatives.
- Act as a strategic advisor to leadership by aligning workforce capabilities with short- and long-term business growth.
- Provide skill market intelligence (availability, demand, cost) and own decision-making frameworks such as build vs. buy models.
- Champion data-driven talent strategy across the leadership team, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Proven ability to translate business strategy into actionable talent initiatives.
- Strong experience in workforce planning, skills mapping, and capability modeling.
- Comfortable using workforce analytics and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Visier, or similar).
- Ability to create and communicate frameworks that help leaders make evidence-based decisions (e.g., build vs. buy, internal mobility pathways, reskilling strategy).
- Experience managing or working with talent data within enterprise systems (e.g., Workday, SuccessFactors, SAP, or similar).
- Understanding of data governance and quality assurance principles, especially related to HR or workforce datasets.
- Ability to assess and influence the architecture of workforce data to support business models and cross-functional needs.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with senior leaders across People, Operations, Product, Compliance, and L&D functions.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills to translate data insights into compelling narratives and recommendations.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in complex, matrixed environments.
- Track record of designing and implementing scalable programs for emerging or alternative talent segments (e.g., early careers, freelance, global gig talent).
- Deep understanding of global and regional talent trends, especially around skill shortages, evolving work models, and new talent ecosystems.
- Experience integrating upskilling and development into talent pipelines in collaboration with L&D.
- Experience managing end-to-end program delivery, from ideation through execution and evaluation.
- Skilled in navigating ambiguity, influencing without authority, and leading through change.
EDUCATION & BACKGROUND
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Psychology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 7–10 years of relevant experience in Talent Strategy, Workforce Planning, HR Analytics, or related areas.
- Experience in tech-enabled, global, or high-growth environments strongly preferred.
