MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

The Program Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful planning, execution, tracking, delivery and closure of client projects. The Program Manager works with the client to understand requirements and engages the global team in the fulfillment of these requirements, crafting client solutions based on the Welocalize Four Pillars of Customer Service, Quality, Innovation and Global Teamwork.

Main Duties

    • The following is a non-exhaustive list of responsibilities and areas of ownership of the Program Manager:

    • Project planning, scoping, requirements gathering and validation with client.
    • Meet with the client to discuss and clarify briefs, policies and requests, deadlines, resource planning and allocation.
    • Identifying and working with the relevant client and internal stakeholders to plan and resource projects appropriately in terms of quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
    • Respond to translators/testers/reviewers scheduling requests and other needs or issues
    • Risk analysis and contingency planning (plan-do-check-act cycle).
    • Leading the internal and external team to successful execution and delivery of client projects
    • Creating schedule and monitoring timeliness of delivery.
    • Collaborate with key client and Welocalize staff to keep project schedules on track.
    • Establish and maintain reliable internal tracking process to oversee attendance, schedules and performance as well as monitor the workload of translators/testers/reviewers’ indifferent language groups.
    • Managing the budget and controlling project costs.
    • Establishing and nurturing relationships with the customer, internal teams and external suppliers.
    • Overseeing project activities and ensuring resolution to any problems that may arise (corrective and preventive action).
    • Actively seeking ways to optimize delivery, client satisfaction, quality and profitability.
    • Reporting, both in written and verbal form, to internal and external stakeholders regarding Project scope, financials, progress and status, formally and on an ad-hoc basis as required.
    • Ensuring finance systems are kept up to date and accurate.
    • Process documentation and knowledge management.
    • Compile and maintain training materials and operating guidelines.
    • Ensuring profit of project is maintained through the management of margin.
    • Actively seek feedback from the client about the team's performance; identifying challenges and inefficiencies in workflow and systems; and discussing areas of improvement.
    • Work with the client company managers to improve and streamline the localization/reviewing process, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Schedule team meetings as needed.
    • Promote team-building activities during and after work hours.
    • Report to Welocalize management about onsite activities, team performance, client feedback, requests and policy changes, short- and long-term planning.
    • Report to Welocalize recruiters about immediate and anticipated language needs, upcoming projects, and the status of submitted candidates or testers/reviewers in training.
    • Ensure the safety and well-being of Welocalize employees on client premises (for example during emergency situations).

Experience

    • Proven project management experience in a fast-paced, client-centric environment, ideally in the translation or localization industry.
    • Experience in marketing, digital marketing is required.
    • Knowledge of the translation industry combined with knowledge in marketing, and a keen interest in technology, process, competitive landscape and emerging trends.
    • Demonstrated success at managing large accounts and/or projects.
    • Curiosity and creativity to question existing processes and approaches and innovate new ones.
    • Proven experience in development of processes and ideas. 
    • Experience in financial management and budget to actual management.
    • Customer relationship management and business development skills to drive organic growth.
    • Must be available to travel for work related commitments.

Education Level

    • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a college or university in related filed.

    • Working Hours / Schedule: 40 hours a week, preferably in Dublin, or that can work EMEA/ occasionally US time zone
    • Pay rate: EUR 50.000/year
