The Learning and Development Lead is responsible for defining training needs to align with Welo Data’s business strategy and leading the development and delivery of impactful learning solutions. This role will manage the L&D team, oversee program execution, and ensure that training initiatives are scalable, measurable, and adaptable to evolving business priorities. In addition to strategic planning and stakeholder engagement, the Lead will drive key initiatives including LMS evaluation and migration, self-serve learning enablement, and agile operational models to support high-impact programs.
Main Responsibilities
- Define and maintain Welo Data’s strategic training agenda in alignment with business priorities.
- Evaluate, recommend, and, if approved, lead migration to a more effective Learning Management System.
- Implement and operationalize the L&D self-serve learning framework to empower teams to access and use training independently.
- Assess current team structure, skills, and workflows; deploy an agile operating model to deliver strategic programs efficiently.
- Partner with executives, HR, and business leaders to identify training needs through performance data and stakeholder feedback.
- Lead the development and delivery of learning content, programs, and tools that meet business objectives and workforce needs.
- Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize programs.
- Manage Learning Partners and ensure the highest standards in content development and delivery.
- Ensure LMS and related tools are fully utilized to maximize ROI.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure training supports career path frameworks and leadership development initiatives.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a learning and development role or equivalent educational/professional experience.
- Minimum 2 years in a management role, with proven success in leading teams and implementing scalable L&D solutions.
- Previous experience in data annotation, AI services, or related technology-driven industries strongly preferred.
- Experience evaluating and implementing LMS solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to design agile systems to support strategic programs.
