Dutch Language Specialist Remote in the US

Welocalize is looking for a Dutch Language Specialist to support the Dutch localization team. The ideal candidate has English to Dutch translation/editing experience (preferably with a focus on marketing content), is a native Dutch speaker, is able to customize content for the Dutch market, and has a passion for language.
You will work closely with the Dutch Localization Producers and other localization team members as well as with marketing stakeholders in Europe to adapt our products to the Dutch market.

Responsibilities:
· Perform linguistic quality assessment
· Review vendor-translated assets EN into NL considering in-country input and feedback
· Contribute to the maintenance of glossaries, style guides, and TMs
· Work with external vendors and internal stakeholders to provide timely and market appropriate localized products

Required Experience/Skills:
· Native level fluency in Dutch 
. Must reside in the USA
· Minimum 3 years of experience as a localization linguist or content editor
· Experience using CAT tools (preferably XTM)
· Experience in marketing localization or content editing
· Good understanding of localization and linguistic issues
· Knowledge of social media platforms and current voice and tone used for Dutch professionals

Preferred Experience/Skills:
· B.A. in Translation, Applied Linguistics, Journalism or similar
· Self-driven, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new processes and tools 
Desired Start Date: Asap
Project Duration: 12 months with possibility of extension
Working Hours/Schedule: 30-40 hrs weekly (core hours in PST)
Location: Home office/Remote
Pay rate: $40/hr.

 Recruitment process:

1- Phone call interview with a Recruiter
2- Sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement
3- Take a one-hour translation assessment (The test consists of miscellaneous marketing content divided into 4 parts). 
4- Final interview with our client
