MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB 

 

Welocalize is seeking Japanese simultaneous/consecutive interpreters who are experienced in English <> Japanese interpretation.

This is a long-term project.

Location: Tokyo, Japan

Start date: ASAP

Expected Weighted Volume Per Locale, Per Week: Regular meetings from Mon to Fri

Employment Type: Freelance

- Perform simultaneous interpretation support for meetings with colleagues/clients outside of Japan (likely via Zoom).

- Perform on-site interpretation support (half-day – up to 4 hours)

- Perform consecutive support for staff for business meetings (more common for 1:1s like partner meetings, interviews, etc.) .

-Commitment to participate in the program.

-A minimum of 3 years' demonstrated experience in "Product","Support","ride-sharing industry " interpretation.

-Excellent communications skills in English.

-Native fluency in target language.

-Degree in linguistics, interpretation, translation or equivalent experience.
