WHOOP is currently seeking a Category Marketing Director to oversee execution and expansion within target sports (e.g., CrossFit, Golf, Cycling, etc.) and fitness categories. 

In this position you will work with the SVP of Marketing and category marketing specialists to grow core sports and fitness categories in the US and abroad and establish the WHOOP brand as the undisputed leader in human performance. 


    • Lead category marketing experts to deliver on existing contracts, relationships, commercial agreements, and development roadmaps.
    • Expand share of voice and wallet in existing categories
    • Evaluate new categories for growth, including assessing size of opportunities, product/market fit, and resource requirements
    • Drive a disciplined calendar of media, communications, and activations
    • Collaborate with leadership peers in media, creative, and content  to create fully integrated marketing campaign


    • 5+ years experience in sports marketing management
    • Contract negotiation and fluency with deal dynamics a must 
    • Ability to formulate a robust business case guided by quantitative outcomes and qualitative plans for execution
    • Experience deploying 360 marketing campaigns 
    • A track record of leading and developing talented marketeers
    • A passion for sports, health, and wellness
