About This Role
We are looking for a Sourcing and Vendor Relations Manager to help expand Vitabox’s growing catalog and to strengthen relations with vendor partners in an effort to provide the best assortment of products available to our customers at the best prices possible. In addition to working with new and existing vendors, the role includes product data auditing, product onboarding, and inventory management. The role will be responsible for:

-Identifying and prospecting new products for Vitabox, negotiating direct relationships with manufacturers and leading the buying process
-Assist with new product/brand onboarding process to ensure data accuracy and a quick audit-to-onboard process
-Develop a repeatable and scalable process for identifying new potential products or manufacturers using 1P and 3P data sources
-Assist Head of Marketplaces & Fulfillment Team with Fulfillment By Amazon supply 
-Proactively identify product data quality issues and resolve all issues in a timely manner
-Collaborate with Vitabox’s cross-functional teams (Marketing, Product, Sales Operations, etc)

This will be onsite at our office in Cincinnati, OH with an integrated flex work from home schedule.

Roles & Responsibilities

    • Sourcing
    • Research new products and brands that align with Vitabox’s mission and product assortment by developing a data-driven analysis to determine fit
    • Negotiate with manufacturers and lead buying process
    • Assist with inventory forecasting and planning
    • Create, manage and track Purchase Orders 
    • Collaborate with vendors regarding short items to understand out of stock issues and timing; work with the Sourcing team on other vendor options
    • Respond to all AP / vendor issues regarding credit issues and PO payments causing shipping delays
    • Run weekly volatility reports to understand variance in prior forecast and analyze future forecast demand and adjust system to purchase to the current needs
    • Attend in-person and virtual trade shows to establish relationships with new vendors and source new products

    • Product Auditing & Onboarding
    • Input and audit manufacturer product data to ensure it’s consistent & accurate using a combination of spreadsheets and proprietary data auditing software
    • Augment product data with in-house data, third party resources, & competitor information to ensure a robust catalog of product data
    • Configure and upload products on internal systems
    • Ensure product data stays up to date and accurate after the onboarding process

    • Pricing
    • Analyze pricing strategies and provide strategic recommendations on how to maximize profit through pricing

    • Operations
    • Monitor inventory levels across different platforms including our internal ERP 
    • Assist with inventory management including reordering and assisting with the FBA fulfillment process
    • Work to identify any process improvements and opportunities to automate data quality operations 

Minimum Qualifications

    • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
    • 2+ years of buying, vendor relationship management, and data quality experience (preferred experience in HBC or eCommerce)
    • Exceptional attention to detail
    • Experience working with manufacturers or suppliers
    • Strong Excel skills & experience working with large data sets are a must. Candidate must be able to navigate through large amounts of data using v-lookups, pivot tables and a variety of formulas
    • Must be a self-starter, decision-maker and have proven ability to achieve results in a fast-paced environment
    • Located in the Cincinnati, Ohio area or willing to relocate

Preferred Qualifications & Prior Experience

    • Experience working at a CPG company or working with related CPG product data
    • Established points of contact or existing relationships with suppliers
    • Previous startup experience
