About This Role
We are looking for a Senior CRM Marketing Manager to lead CRM/email/SMS marketing for Wilbur Labs and our portfolio of companies. In this role, you will work alongside the Wilbur Labs and portfolio company leaders, to devise and implement B2C and B2B email/SMS marketing strategies to facilitate growth across Wilbur Labs’ portfolio businesses. We believe excellent growth strategy, implementation and automation are key ingredients to successfully scaling new ventures, making this a high-impact position at Wilbur Labs.

This is a rare opportunity for a business-oriented email marketer who enjoys execution but is also looking to broaden their scope. This person will help lead the expansion of existing strategies while also working to implement new, fully automated strategies for category defining companies, while also working on an emerging team within Wilbur Labs.

This is a full-time position preferably based in San Francisco, but open to remote.

Role & Responsibilities

    • Manage all campaign set up and deployment for email, SMS, and push notifications for Wilbur Labs portfolio companies
    • Oversee the creation of personalized messages, subject lines, copy, and variations of campaigns across segments to increase overall email engagement
    • Communicate and liaise between cross-functional teams including copyrighting, marketing, and merchandising to ensure email projects are completed on time and align with brand goals
    • Strategize with portfolio company leaders and marketing teams to identify gaps in retention in order to develop campaigns and strategies to build increased repeat purchase and customer LTV
    • Manage all projects within the areas of the customer journey pertaining to email marketing including flows/automation, weekly campaign deployment, acquisition strategies, and retention analysis
    • Create innovative and personalized segmentation strategies to drive engagement and build brand affinity
    • Optimize campaign performance with A/B testing and analysis of campaign analytics
    • Manage, monitor, and ensure high deliverability rates and domain reputation
    • Analyze data regularly and create strategy recommendations to improve channel performance.
    • Conduct research and competitive analysis; assist in setting KPI benchmarks
    • Provide feedback to creative, marketing and merchandise teams with performance results and ideas to leverage new strategies to increase engagement and grow email traffic and revenue
    • Work closely with the engineering and product teams to build optimal onsite experiences and custom advertising tech to improve and scale campaigns

Minimum Qualifications

    • BA/BS degree
    • 3+ years previous experience in an email marketing role for a fast-growing eCommerce D2C brand or an email marketing agency
    • Knowledge of and experience using Klaviyo email marketing platform
    • SMS marketing experience
    • Mobile marketing (mobile-first strategy experience)
    • Knowledge of A/B testing strategies, multivariate email deployment and strong understanding of segmentation strategies for both B2C and B2B marketing
    • Excellent communication skills and understanding of copy strategies (subject line, preheader, etc)
    • Self-starter who will thrive in a fast-paced environment
    • A “roll up your sleeves” mentality and the ability to implement proposed strategies
    • A “team-first” mentality and an approachable working style

Preferred Qualifications & Prior Experience

    • Previous experience working at an early stage company
    • Demonstrated experience leading teams
    • Design expertise and familiarity with photo editing software
