About This Role
We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented SEM Manager to help execute growth strategies across SEM. The SEM Manager will expand our international coverage in multiple languages and manage paid search campaigns on Google and Bing. A successful candidate will collaborate with our Product, SEO and Data teams to execute tests, collect and analyze data, and identify trends to help achieve maximum growth in paid search campaigns within a target ROI.

This is the perfect role for someone with proven international SEM experience and success managing paid search campaigns. The candidate will be well versed in online customer acquisition.

This is a full-time position, ideally based in Austin or Dallas though remote is an option for the right candidate.

Role & Responsibilities

    • Manage the development of European market expansion including campaign, ad group, keyword and ad creative creation and optimization 
    • Execute a performance-driven marketing strategy across international markets in English and other languages
    • Create, track, analyze, and optimize international paid search campaigns in Google Ads, and Bing Ads
    • Proactively look for efficient ways to grow traffic and revenue across international paid search campaigns
    • Collaborate with translation agencies to ensure translated spelling and grammar of ads are high quality
    • Collect and analyze data from search engines and internal sources, identify trends in order to achieve maximum ROI in paid search campaigns
    • Run A/B tests to uncover new opportunities for performance improvement across paid search campaigns
    • Assist in identifying potential new markets and launching relevant local paid search campaigns
    • Partner with Product and Engineering to execute tests around landing page optimization to increase conversion rate and maximize quality score

Minimum Qualifications

    • BA/BS degree
    • 5+ years of search engine marketing experience (Google, Bing)
    • Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in 2 (in addition to English) languages (German, French, Italian, Dutch, Spanish)
    • Previous experience using bulk management tools such as Google Ads Editor and Microsoft Advertising Editor
    • Expert in leveraging platform-specific bidding tools (Google Smart Bidding, Kenshoo, etc.)
    • Strong proficiency in Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, etc.)
    • Experience managing search campaigns in European markets
    • Strong analytical skills and enthusiasm for data-driven marketing, including experience with Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or other analytics platforms
    • Strong attention to detail and highly adaptable Self-starter who will thrive in an ambiguous startup environment
    • Competitive, entrepreneurial mindset

Preferred Qualifications & Prior Experience

    • Prior startup experience working at an early-stage company
    • Background in the travel industry
    • Experience with SQL Track record of developing marketing strategies for a global audience
    • Prior experience working on search experience products
    • Experience with marketing attribution modeling
