About This Role
VacationRenter is looking for a Sr. Manager, Strategic Partnerships to manage the supply partnerships that fuel our marketplace. This role is pivotal in VacationRenter’s aim to build the most diverse supply partnership ecosystem and to provide our customers with the best selection of vacation rental inventory in the industry. In this role, you will be responsible for new partner identification and development to include identifying, sizing and executing on key partner opportunities based on industry knowledge and business priorities. You will also be responsible for optimizing active partner performance to achieve joint growth targets.

This is a full-time position, ideally based in Austin or Dallas though remote is an option for the right candidate.

Role & Responsibilities

    • Develop, drive, and analyze effective sales & marketing tactics that focus on new partner acquisition across different markets globally 
    • Negotiate and execute new supply partnership agreements that align with key VacationRenter business priorities in consultation with the executive and legal teams
    • Partner with Product, Engineering and Marketing teams to successfully onboard new partners
    • Actively monitor, analyze, and manage all aspects of partner performance including driving growth to maximize profitability, spotting trends to optimize performance, strategic account assessment, and designing and leading tests
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for VacationRenter business units and provide top tier customer service through high quality resolution problem solving to both internal and external teams
    • Exhibit a clear understanding of market trends and terminology to provide analysis (conversion, revenue, profit) and recommendations to the VacationRenter team, including regular reviews with leadership
    • Represent VacationRenter in various industry events, conferences, and associations

Minimum Qualifications

    • BA/BS Degree 
    • 8 or more years of partnership management experience (ideally within the online travel industry)
    • Experience contracting, driving strategy and securing partnerships with significant revenue contribution
    • Experience and/or familiarity with metasearch, marketing partnerships, or affiliate marketing
    • Ability to adapt and customize approach across a range of highly diverse and global partners at varying levels of size and capabilities 
    • Consistent track record of achieving performance goals, including driving toward revenue targets or other key performance indicators
    • Adept at pulling and analyzing performance data to inform optimization activities (ideally with Google Analytics and/or Mixpanel experience)
    • Self starter who thrives on independent problem solving and can navigate through complexity to achieve results 
    • Has a growth mindset and is someone who both seeks and implements feedback and coaching

Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with global organizations and supporting customers across multiple countries and time zones
    • Experience with SQL 
    • Prior startup experience working at an early-stage company
    • Background in the travel industry
