About the Position
As the Web & Marketing Content Specialist, you’ll play a key role in shaping the digital face of our schools and programs. You’ll work closely with the Web Development Manager, under the direction of the Chief Marketing Officer, as part of the Digital Marketing Team within the Admissions Department. Your main focus will be designing and building polished, user-centered website content, online media, and digital marketing assets that support team goals and reflect our brand.
Additionally, you may act as a Substitute or Guide for our in-person Adventures program during the school year.
Essential Duties (Top 5 Roles)
1) Web Design & Content Creation
Design, build, and maintain visually engaging, responsive websites within our HubSpot and WordPress CMS platforms.
Create and refine content layouts that support marketing goals and deliver a smooth, engaging customer experience (CX).
Customize themes and page templates using basic HTML and CSS—no advanced coding required.
Ensure visual consistency by applying brand standards across fonts, colors, and page elements.
Optimize pages for searchability and accessibility using on-page SEO best practices (e.g. headings, meta tags, and alt text).
2) Marketing Content Design
Create and edit high-quality graphics and digital assets using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools to support website content and marketing campaigns.
Collect, manage, and optimize media assets (images, videos, PDFs) to ensure strong visual quality and brand alignment.
Stay current with digital design trends, UX principles, and visual storytelling to keep our websites, brand, and digital marketing assets modern and compelling.
Maintain consistency in voice, tone, and visual identity across all digital content.
Occasionally craft and/or refine engaging, brand-aligned copy that attracts customers, delights users, and drives conversions.
3) Content Management & Documentation
Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail for all published content, including multiple checks and re-checks to ensure accuracy and design excellence.
Manage ongoing content updates accurately and consistently, ensuring all content reflects our brand and is ready to publish.
Document processes and procedures related to web content management to support cross-functional collaboration.
4) Website Technical Health Maintenance
Update CMS core, themes, plugins, and third-party integrations regularly to ensure site security and consistent functionality.
Diagnose and resolve issues with plugins, themes, or code to maintain optimal website performance and user experience (UX).
Optimize website performance by reducing page load times and minimizing resource use, including images and scripts.
Monitor sites regularly for broken links, loading issues, or inaccuracies and address them promptly.
Follow and implement best practices for web usability, accessibility, and browser compatibility.
5) Admissions Department Support
Participate in weekly Admissions Department meetings to identify and resolve departmental issues affecting the customer experience (CX).
Perform additional responsibilities to support departmental, executive, and company objectives as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Web Design & Development, Graphic Design, Digital Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 2+ years of experience in web or visual design, content management, or digital marketing
- Proficiency in designing, managing, and creating content within CMS platforms (HubSpot and WordPress preferred)
- Strong visual design skills with a razor-sharp eye for layout, branding, and messaging
- Skilled in publishing and maintaining digital assets with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, producing error-free results
- Basic proficiency in HTML and CSS
- Comfortable using Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, Sheets), Gmail, and tools like Asana
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with design tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD), Figma, and Canva
- Basic understanding of SEO and how design impacts discoverability
- Familiarity with UX best practices, accessibility standards, and mobile-first design
- Solid grasp of marketing principles and content strategy

- You are not comfortable managing projects that require a mix of strong design skills, great communication, and basic coding skills
Required Equipment
- Computer with webcam, no older than two years
- Headset with echo-canceling mic
- High-speed internet (we recommend 5 Mbps or more)
Compensation and Schedule
- Compensation: $60,000-$70,000 annual salary, depending on experience and qualifications
- Start date: ASAP
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Specifically, this includes:
- Completing 75% or more of your work during regular business hours (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM MT).
- Participating in 2-3 weekly online team meetings, with additional meetings as needed.
- Attending day-long, department-wide online quarterly meetings held four times per year.
- Acting as a Substitute or Guide for in-person Adventures on Fridays, as needed
