Summary of Role:
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Corporate Accountant to support the finance operations, compliance, and internal controls across Willow. This role is instrumental in maintaining financial integrity and regulatory compliance across our entities in the Philippines, Australia, and the US.
The ideal candidate will bring strong commercial acumen, excellent analytical skills, and a solid background in financial operations and compliance. You'll play a key role in supporting our strategic goals while ensuring strict adherence to tax and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Financial Controller with day-to-day finance tasks.
- Oversee assigned month-end close processes across all global Willow entities.
- Prepare and review monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Reconcile intercompany transactions on a monthly basis.
- Process General Ledger entries and perform adjustments as needed.
- Carry out internal control activities and support compliance initiatives.
- Act as the primary point of contact for tax and compliance matters related to the Willow Philippines entity.
- Assist in the preparation of regulatory and management reports.
- Support internal and external audits, including process reviews and financial documentation.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Extensive experience with tax filing and compliance for businesses operating in the Philippines.
- Strong background working with Australian and/or US entities, particularly in Month-end closing and Payroll, is a significant advantage.
- Expertise in consolidation and process improvements.
- Professional services and/or software industry experience preferred.
- Proactive, with a "can-do" attitude and meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with finance and CRM tools such as Dynamics, Power BI, and MYOB.
- Highly skilled in MS Office applications; advanced proficiency in Excel, VB, is a plus.
- CPA qualification preferred, with a background in a top-tier accountancy firm, or at least 5 years of commercial experience.
- 12-18 month contract covering maternity leave, with strong potential for permanent placement.
