General Maintenance Associate - Change of Occupancy Maintenance (Fort Knox)

WinnCompanies is searching for a General Maintenance Associate - Change of Occupancy Maintenance to join our military housing team at Fort Knox, KY.
In this role, your primary responsibility is to perform maintenance functions in the community, including rental units, office buildings, residential areas, grounds and parking lots. You will also repair building structures and associated residential electrical, plumbing, sanitary systems and equipment, and you will ensure all services are performed safely and result in favorable customer feedback.
Responsibilities
- Respond to service calls to complete Change of Occupancy Maintenance work and other property maintenance requests.
- Conduct maintenance upkeep, repairs, and rehabilitation of property, including plumbing, electrical, and appliances.
- Clean public areas, rental units, and offices.
- Complete interior and exterior painting, roof repairs, lawn upkeep, debris removal and repair, and replacement of lights and smoke detectors.
- Transport, install, and connect stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers, and other electrical and gas appliances.
- Transport equipment, furnishings, and appliances to job sites; load and unload trucks.
- Perform on-call emergency repairs as directed by immediate supervisor or other organization management representatives.
- Repair and fabricate window screens, door screens, and door frames.
- Dig/fill and tamp earth excavations; level grounds using pick, shovel, tamper, and rake; shovel concrete; clean culverts and ditches; cut tree and brush; operate power tools and lawn mowers.
- Remove floor tile, sheet vinyl, ceramic floor tile, and plywood.
- Operate power blowers or use brooms to clean roof tops, sidewalks, and driveways of leaves and debris. Ensure work-site cleanup.
- Complete and submit all required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
- Keep supervisor well-informed of activities, results, and potential problems.
- Maintain vehicle and vehicle inventory as prescribed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Less than 1 year of relevant work experience.
- A current driver's license in good standing and ability to meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.
- Basic competency in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical trades.
- Ability to provide basic tools and equipment necessary to perform daily duties.
- Basic familiarity with computers and tablets.
- Solid customer service skills.
- Ability to read and write in English, in order to understand basic instructions and take direction from supervisors.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work.

- Vocational or technical training.
