WinnCompanies is looking for Subsidy Coordinator to join our corporate Compliance team.

The Subsidy Coordinator is responsible for ensuring timely submission of Housing Assistance Payment (HAP) requests and associated Tenant Rental Assistance Certification System (TRACS) files. You will post payments of subsidy funds upon notification from the Accounting Department. Work with Operations to process corrections based on TRACS error messages or transmission reports from Contract Administrators.

Please note that this position offers a pay range of $26.44 to $31.25 per hour based on experience. The selected candidate will adhere to the following schedule: Monday through Friday, from 8:00AM to 5:00PM.

Additionally, this is a remote position: the selected candidate must live in a state that WinnCompanies currently operates in. Applications will be accepted until 5:00PM EST on August 2nd, 2025.

Responsibilities

    • Investigate TRACS errors and collaborate with Contract Administrators and Operations to resolve as necessary.
    • Assist with teaching and training to new users or existing Rent software users with TRACS preparation and submission, as well as proper completion of certifications and error corrections, when necessary or upon request.
    • Submit HAP requests and TRACS files. Post subsidy funds upon receipt.
    • Assist sites with Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) compliance, including but not limited to processing repayment plans, running, storing, and/or investigating and resolving EIV report findings as needed.
    • Monitor compliance percentage in TRACS, communicate concerns to Operations and collaborate on ways to improve the compliance percentage.
    • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

    • Associate’s degree in accounting and/or finance.
    • 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
    • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word and Outlook.
    • Demonstrated organizational and record keeping skills.
    • Ability to exercise good judgment and apply initiative.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Strong problem solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree.
    • COS and/or CPO certifications.
    • Prior experience in affordable housing management, either as an onsite Property Manager at a HUD subsidized property, or in a centralized subsidy billing environment.
    • Knowledge of RealPage property management software.
$26.44 - $31.25 an hour
