WinnCompanies is looking for a Maintenance Technician I to join our team at North Creek Crossings at Meriam Park, a 160-unit property located in Chico, CA. In this role, you will perform maintenance functions in the community, including rental units, residential common areas, office, grounds, and parking lots. Additionally, this position requires a highly diversified base of knowledge and skills needed to maintain the property to satisfy ownership and management objectives.

Please note that this position is offering $23.00 to $24.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

    • Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.
    • Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels, etc.).
    • Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems, and conduct repairs when necessary.
    • Maintain and repair plumbing and heating components.
    • Prepare, prime, and paint building interior and exterior surfaces.
    • Maintain and repair locks, locking mechanisms, closers, doors, and controllers.
    • Maintain and complete documentation for fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems, building alarm contacts and other building systems.
    • Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows, etc.).
    • Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g., landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry, etc.).
    • Comply with all policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
    • Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs.
    • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
    • Document work performance and materials procurement as directed.
    • Provide excellent customer service to all residents, employees, and vendors.
    • Perform repairs for a variety of areas, such as appliances, carpentry, hardware accessories, masonry, painting, basic electrical, basic plumbing, and basic HVAC.
    • Complete assigned service requests and repairs to company standard.
    • Help prepare empty apartments to be ready for next round of tenant move-ins.
    • Maintain grounds through trash management and landscaping.
    • Complete all resident and site work orders in a timely manner.

Requirements

    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in residential/apartment maintenance.
    • General knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, HVAC, and carpentry.
    • Basic familiarity with technology: email, web browsing, and ordering online.
    • Availability for rotational on-call activity during off-hours for urgent needs.
    • Ability to speak and understand basic English.
    • Excellent customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Vocational or technical training.
    • CAMT certification.
$23 - $24 an hour
