Maintenance Technician I (Oak Meadows)

WinnCompanies is looking for a Maintenance Technician I to join our team at Oak Meadows, a residential community located in Oakley, CA. In this role, you will perform maintenance functions in the community, including rental units, residential common areas, office, grounds and parking lots.
Please note that this position requires a highly-diversified base of knowledge and skills needed to maintain the property to satisfy ownership and management objectives. Additionally, please note that the pay range for this position is $20.00 to $22.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs in such areas as, but not limited to: appliances, carpentry, hardware accessories, masonry, painting, basic electrical, basic plumbing, and basic HVAC.
- Complete assigned service requests and repairs consistent with company operating procedures.
- Assist in preparing vacant apartments for market ready status in accordance to company standards.
- Maintain grounds and curb appeal through snow removal, landscaping and trash management activities.
- Ability to be available for all scheduled shifts and on-call rotation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in basic HVAC, basic electrical, basic plumbing, and minor fixes (patching a wall, fixing a door knob, etc.).
- Basic familiarity with computers. Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.
- Ability to provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers in a professional, service oriented, and respectful manner.
- Excellent active listening and problem solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Vocational or technical training.
- CAMT certification.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
$20 - $22 an hour
