WisdomTree is looking for a Senior Associate to join our quick thinking, tight-knit and resourceful Public Relations team, whose function is to build, promote and expand WisdomTree’s reputation as the pioneer of today’s investment landscape, including asset management and digital assets asset management landscape and the trailblazer of tomorrow’s, focused on consistent value creation for investors and driven by a diverse and innovative global team.
Reporting to the Head of Corporate Communications and Public Relations, this is a unique and exciting role in a dynamic, fast-paced, and growing global company. This role is ideal for someone seeking the opportunity to create real and direct impact within their organization, collaborate across teams and regions, and gain valuable experience across a range of communications disciplines and skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the execution of a high-impact external communications program in the U.S., which aligns to and supports WisdomTree’s business strategy
- Maintaining strong and proactive working relationships with internal stakeholders to identify and develop impactful media stories
- Writing and distributing press releases, announcements and reactive statements to targeted media
- Supporting on reporting for PR activity, including tracking engagement across the business and making data-driven suggestions to improve our program
- Maintaining and circulating an up-to-date repository of key messages, positioning statements, and the announcement pipeline
- Ensuring WisdomTree marketing and communications requests and protocols are adhered to, with up-to-date documents/reports submitted as appropriate
- Day-to-day management of WisdomTree’s PR agency relationships to ensure activity aligns with WisdomTree’s corporate communications strategy
- Crafting creative and timely pitch angles based on strategic priorities and research
- Work with regional communications leads in managing the reputation of WisdomTree on a day-to-day basis, guiding the business on any issues that could attract press interest
- Work with Marketing to amplify reach of PR activity and coverage across owned social media and internal channels
Skills & Experience
- Minimum of three years’ professional experience working in communications, agency or in-house
- Proven external communications and media relations experience
- Superior written and verbal communications across all media types
- Strong client relationship skills, with experience working with executives of the highest level
- Sector experience in financial services, asset management, digital assets or market infrastructure is highly desirable
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Strong business acumen with proven ability to connect business objectives and communication strategies
- Self-starter with a keen eye for details and a collaborative can-do attitude
- Excellent project management and time management skills, with ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Knowledge of the latest PR industry trends and passionate about the important role PR can play within the business
- An interest in the financial services industry (preferably asset management and digital assets) and how the industry fits within broader society
- Good interpersonal skills and resourcefulness to establish rapport, credibility, and strong working relationships
- Demonstrated ability to wear many hats, manage ambiguity, and apply problem-solving skills
- Team player able to collaborate across organizational boundaries, embrace change and make improvements to working practices
- Ability to plan, deliver and evaluate work to improve future PR campaigns and coverage
