We are looking for a Specialist Aircraft Technician to join our team. The goal of a Specialist Aircraft Technician at Wisk is to ensure that the flight test facility operates smoothly. You will be part of the Test and Flight Operations Team that safely and efficiently tests aircraft for Wisk. Your mission is to safely, effectively, and efficiently operate, test, and evaluate UAM systems in support of goals and objectives.

Why we need you:

    • With that vision in mind, we are looking for a Specialist Aircraft Technician to join our Operations Support Team. The goal of the Specialist Aircraft Technician at Wisk is to actively participate in the day to day operations at the Flight Test Facility.
    • We need an individual that can be a self starter to complete tasks that help aid in the completion of company goals.  This individual will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and paperwork of our Wisk made aircraft.  They will also be responsible to work on other projects at Wisk.  This can include modification of aircraft, general aviation maintenance and participation in Marketing activities.

What you will do:

    • As part of the Test and Flight Operations Team, and deployed in the Operations Support Team, you will act as a Specialist Aircraft Technician for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market
    • You will work on our support aircraft, keeping them in an airworthy state.
    • You will take part in flight testing activities.
    • You will support Test and Flight Operations, core engineering and the marketing team.
    • You will help support problem solving activities such as on aircraft troubleshooting.  
    • You will provide technical feedback to aid in solutions.
    • You will help coordinate aircraft scheduling for both test and maintenance activities.
    • You will take part in test events, and marketing requests.
    • As a Specialist Aircraft Technician, you will help maintain and build processes around the work that is expected to complete your job.
    • You will need little direction to complete your job.  An understanding of how to complete tasks without supervision is ideal for this position.
    • You will be able to train others around the work being completed on the aircraft.
    • At times you may be requested to backfill the role of Shop Supervisor for short periods of time.

What you have done:

    • You will have relevant experience in the aviation industry.  A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience is required.
    • You have worked on various research and development projects and/or general aviation aircraft under little to no supervision. 
    • You have a minimum of an Airframe and Powerplant license.
    • You have a strong and applied knowledge of complex tools, such as applicable specialized tooling for individual aircraft.
    • You are able to manage and track aircraft configuration through traditional paper means or utilizing computer based systems.

Desired:

    • You hold an Inspection Authorization (IA) qualification.

Pay Range the Company expects to pay: $40 - $54 per hour - The starting base pay within this range for this role varies based on factors such as your geographical location, and your relevant job-related experience that is consistent with a business necessity.
