Wisk’s internship experience is a 12 week, hands-on program. Our goal for our internship program is to see what it’s like to be a full time Wisk employee and complete meaningful work.
We are looking for a Rotor Design Intern to join our team for summer 2025. The goal of a Rotor Design Engineer at Wisk is to ensure that the propeller design meets the function and safety requirements and is manufacturable. You will be part of the Propeller team that is designing, developing manufacture methods, and testing the propeller system for the Wisk Gen 6 aircraft.
Responsibilities:
- As part of the Propulsion organization, you will act as a design engineer for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market
- You will take part in design, risk reduction manufacture, and test of our Wisk Gen 6 propeller.
- You will help support problem solving activities related to design for manufacture, analysis; as well as functional test and flight test.
- You will work with a team of engineers that are executing design development and test of the Gen 6 propeller systems.
Requirements:
- Must be currently pursuing a bachelors, masters or PhD degree with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and June 2027
- Pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering
- Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software such as CATIA, Solidworks, Unigraphics, or similar.
- Experience with mechanical design
- Experience working in a team environment and ability to effectively communicate within the team.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize a variety of activities or tasks.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Hourly rate will be $25 USD an hour.
This internship role will be based at Wisk's office in Mountain View, California and relocation or housing will not be provided.

You must be legally authorized to work in the US for the duration of Internship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Must live in the US at both the time of application AND at the time the internship begins
Must be either a rising sophomore, junior, or senior in college
Must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0, transcripts are required
Must be an enrolled student at both the time of application AND at the time the internship begins
Must be able to work 40 hours a week for 12 weeks (full-time for 3 months)
