We are looking for a Staff Systems Test Engineer to join the Systems Test Team and support the aircraft level integrated testing. You will be responsible for designing, procuring, assembling and commissioning test assets used for the Verification and Validation (V&V) of Wisk Generation 6 Aircraft Systems. 

What you will do:

    • Lead the design architecture of integrated system test assets. 
    • Drive a cross functional team to develop test asset specifications and test plans.
    • Lead the development of the test asset from conceptual design to final commissioning. 
    • Write test specification, assembly document, operation manual and test procedures.
    • Develop wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings.
    • Select and integrate transducers and data acquisition devices into test setups.
    • Develop test scripts in Labview and Python.
    • Automate test execution, data collection and post-processing to increase test cadence. and reporting, ease operation and increase safety.
    • Source and coordinate external suppliers and lab.
    • Support procurement and hands-on assembly of the test fixtures.
    • Define the certification and conformity path for the integrated test asset.
    • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and software issues during testing.
    • Maintain test stations, configuration management, calibration log and upgrade them with the latest hardware and software versions.
    • Ensure and improve safety protocols.

Experience:

    • B.S. or M.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering degree
    • 8+ years of relevant work experience.
    • Experience on aircraft verification program including test for certification credit
    • Hands-on experience assembling test fixtures and executing tests.
    • Experience with system level testing.
    • Knowledge of aircraft system architectures, avionics, and/or high voltage power distribution
    • Experience managing complex test program and multi-functional teams

Desired:

    • Familiar with aerospace processes and standards: e.g. DO-160, DO-178, ARP4754A
    • Familiar with with National Instrument (NI) tools and hardware (Veristand, Labview, PXI)
    • Familiarity with Linux
    • Coding experience (C++, Python, Labview)
    • CAD modeling experience (NX preferred)
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment

$150,163 - $172,601 a year

Pay Range the Company expects to pay: $150,163 - $172,601 per year - The starting base salary within this range for this role varies based on factors such as your geographical location, and your relevant job-related experience that is consistent with a business necessity.
